2025 Paralian Lacey Vineyard Fiano
Zingy and mouth filling with a long scrumptious finish.
Brilliant pale straw colour with subtle flashes of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of lime juice and green apple skin mix with fresh garden herb, wet slate and saline like notes. Intense lime, Granny Smith apple and green pear fruits engulf the palate with a mouth filling like effect. Zingy acidity with infusions of Mediterranean herbs and slatey mineral elements the undercard. Excellent textural volume and drive with a long scrumptious finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Other Reviews…..
From the Lacey family’s Tatachilla vineyard; mainly in steel, with a small parcel in an old barrel. Vintage '25 was warm – that’s been well reported – and while that means a bit more fruit intensity for fiano, the best examples, such as this, show no lack of vibrancy. Crisp golden apple, Meyer lemon, pomelo, Tahitian lime on a very fragrant, though far from simple, nose. There are subtle hints of spice and a flintiness, and the palate flows with gentle texture, temperate pithiness and resolved yet tangy acidity. Very good indeed. Drink by 2029.
