2025 Mulline Portarlington Pinot Noir
Powerful and expansive yet light in it’s flow with fresh acidity, finely structured tannins and a long savoury finish.
Fermented with 30% whole bunches then matured in French oak (30% new) for a period of 8 months.
Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Perfumed aromatics of violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry, anise and gentle clove soar out of the glass. Bramble, rhubarb, forest floor and spicy cedar notes lend further sophistication. Possessing Pinot Noir’s classic power without weight trait, the palate is detailed with delicious red to dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb fruits. Subtle notions of bramble, anise, dried herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar lend complexity across the back half. Fresh acidity and finely structured tannins with a very savoury and expansive finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 12.5%

From a single vineyard located right on the water in Portarlington. All '98-planted MV6 clones; 30% whole bunches, 25% new oak. A bright crimson purple. A gorgeous, complex and pure-fruited bouquet of dark cherry, red rose, a hint of potpourri and subtle spice. This has real energy on the palate, which is compact and concentrated, yet light on its feet. The tannins are in perfect harmony with the fruit. Should develop beautifully over the next eight to 10 years.
