2025 Dominique Portet Fontaine Rose
A moreish, Provence styled Rose that makes for effortless drinking.
With a family history of winemaking stretching back to the 18th century, Dominque Portet was the man behind the establishment of Taltarni and Clover Hill.
Produced from a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Shiraz grapes. Damask pink tinged colour. Alluring scents of peach, strawberry and raspberry set sail through the nostrils with impressive intensity. Some blood orange, pomegranate and wet stone notes ensue. Silky, concentrated and uber delicious, the palate is flooded with peach, raspberry and strawberry fruits. Pomegranate, gentle musk and wet stone elements sit in the background. Brisk acidity finishing long and supplely textured.

Other Reviews.....
Made with 35/35/30% merlot/shiraz/cabernet sauvignon. A light, bright coral pink. Portet's calling-card rosé is in good form. Red fruits, blood oranges and a little spice lead onto the flavoursome, dry and vibrant palate. Drink now and over the next year or two.
