Other Reviews...
The 2025 Clos l'Église was picked 8 to 19 September at around 19 hl/ha, aged in vat and in barrels. This is intense on the nose with black berries, touches of licorice and cassis, cohering nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins on the entry that lend tension. Very good weight and density in this Pomerol, structured with gentle grip, fine minéralité towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. This will require four or five years in bottle, but there is a lot of potential here. Drink 2032-2052.

The 2025 Clos L'Eglise is a potent, brooding Pomerol. Broad swaths of tannin enshroud a core of intense dark fruit, leather, chocolate, licorice and espresso. Yields were just 19 hectoliters per hectare. That concentration of fruit and tannin lends the 2025 tremendous textural intensity, but also makes the tannins a bit tough. Élevage will be essential here. Drink 2033-2045.

Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Clos L'Eglise is a beast of a Pomerol with a powerful nose of ripe black fruits, liquid violets, gravelly earth, and chocolate. On the palate, it brings remarkable power, full-bodied richness, ripe, building, nicely integrated tannins, a dense, stacked mid-palate, and a great finish. It's a bomb of a Pomerol that's going to need some time.

Deeply colored, with chocolate-covered plums, flowers, forest floor, leafy greenery, and spice box aromatics that are quite expressive in the aromatic profile. The palate is even better, with a vivid display of ripe, sweet, juicy dark fruits. Elegant, concentrated, silky, and deep, the wine has ample lift, so you taste and feel the freshness and purity in the fruit. The extensive finish displays chocolaty plums, licorice, and spice from beginning to end. The blend is 70% Merlot with 30% Cabernet Franc, 14.5% ABV, 3.6 pH. Yields were low at 19 hectoliters per hectare. Harvesting took place September 8 - September 18. Drink from 2030-2060.
