2024 Yalumba Samuel’s Collection Barossa Shiraz

Rich and plush with a long, sumptuous conclusion.

Matured for 10 months in French and Hungarian hogsheads of which 12% were new oak. Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of liquorice, blackberry and dark plum flood the nostrils with some spicy vanillin cedar, scorched earth and pepper notes also evident. Rich and plush, the palate shows ample concentration with succulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruit swamping the mouth. Toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth elements lurk underneath. Impressive depth and velvety tannins concluding long and sumptuous.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
