2024 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Messenger Chardonnay

A nicely fleshed, mid weighted Chardonnay with fresh acidity and a refined, faint cream tinged finish.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and nectarine aromas are trailed by hints of grapefruit, delicate dried honey and gun flint notes. Nicely fleshed, the mid weighted palate features white peach, nectarine and grapefruit flavours over a subtle dried honey and gun flint infused back drop. Fresh acidity with a refined, faint cream tinged finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Pretty as a picture, the '24 is filled with nectarines, cherry blossoms and frangipani flowers. Pineapple heart, peach cream and apple sorbet. Ripe orchard fruit unfurls with whipped meringue, cinnamon icing and white pepper. Creamy, a hint of almond shell and long lines of nervy acidity. A very generous wine, with muscle and richness and the delicate white flowers of spring. Drink by 2034.
