2024 Warramunda Chardonnay

A lively, energetic Chardonnay that has an elegant mid length conclusion.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pear skin, nectarine and lemon butter are followed by hints of bees wax. Mid weighted the palate features fleshy pear and nectarine fruits over traces of bees wax and gun flint. Lively acidity lends an energetic feel to the elegant mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

The Estate Chardy sees whole bunch pressing before fermentation in oak, and nine months aging in new (30%) and older French oak. From the Coldstream Hills sub-region, the colour is an attractive pale lemon. With bright flavours throughout, it is fresh and energetic, with notes of citrus, notably lemons, florals, pears, nectarines and a hint of honeycomb. Linear in style, there is good focus, vibrant acidity and a lingering finish, which will surely help to ensure it drinks beautifully for the next five to eight years. Drink 2025-2033.
