2024 Tellurian Marsanne
Rich, expansive and possessing a glycerol like texture.
Brilliant pale straw colour with green tinted edges and a watery hue. Peach, apricot and honeysuckle aromas drift through the nostrils with whiffs of ginger spice also evident. Rich, expansive and possessing a glycerol like texture peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours coat the palate. Some nougat and ginger spice like characters linger in the back end. Nicely integrated acidity buoys the long, lush and enveloping finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews…..
Aged on lees; barrel fermentation in seasoned French oak. Varietally true and expressive from that first whiff of honeysuckle, citrus and white peach. Offers a ripe, deep dive into marsanne where citrus and stone fruit flavours are tied nicely to subtle nougat, almond and textural beeswax leesy notes. Well defined in its youth, it can only improve with age. Drink by 2031.
