2024 Solum Wines Pinot Noir

A generously fruited and fleshy textured Pinot with a juicy mid length finish.

Matured in French oak, 20% new, for a period of 11 months. Dark red core with black toned edges and a red hue. Intensely scented, the nose offers up violet, dark cherry, strawberry and anise aromas followed by some dried herb, bramble and spice notes. Generously fruited palate with ripe cherry and strawberry fruits overlaying a subtle anise, dried herb and spice back drop. Fleshy textured it has velvety tannins and a juicy mid length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

This wine has a beautiful perfume, with a pink peppercorn lift and ripe, bitter-sweet black cherry flavour. Herbaceous theme with a tone of red liquorice Campari, stuffing of cranberries, cinnamon and other woody spices as a topping. The palate is juicy with plenty of impact, wet clay tannins and a blood orange type of acidity. Cooked up well. Drink 2025-2030.
