2024 Rob Hall Harriet's Vineyard Pinot Noir
Rich and texturally supple, showcasing Pinot Noir’s trademark power without weight quality.
Harriet’s vineyard, planted in 1996 and named after Rob Hall’s mother, is managed in sections with each one picked individually to create separate batches which undergo a variety of fermentation techniques in order to promote greater complexity. Includes 15% whole bunches with maturation taking place in a 50/50 mix of 1-year-old puncheons and seasoned hogsheads.
Semi translucent red colour with black toned edges and a light red hue. Displaying a perfumed like intensity the nose feature violet, dark cherry, strawberry, anise and rhubarb aromas over brambly cedar, forest floor and subtle fresh herb notes. Rich and texturally supple across the palate it has Pinot Noir’s trademark power without weight quality. Unfolding like a peacocks tail are expansive red to dark cherry, strawberry, rhubarb and subtle anise flavours. Delicate spicy vanillin cedar, forest floor, dried herb and bramble elements sit underneath. Silky smooth tannins with a long, moreish finish.
