2024 Rob Hall Full Moon Vineyard Pinot Noir

Light, savoury and elegant.

Semi translucent red to dark red colour with black toned edges and a light red to brick red tinged hue. Spicy red to dark cherry and rhubarb aromas intermix with bramble, dried herb, forest floor and dried meat notes. Light and savoury, the palate is elegantly detailed with dark cherry, rhubarb and strawberry fruits. Lying beneath are dried herb, brambly cedar, forest floor and spice elements. Fine grained tannins with a savoury complexity to the medium to long conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

From the Full Moon vineyard in Gladysdale, and a new wine for Rob Hall; 10% whole bunches and matured in seasoned puncheons. Bright garnet. A little closed initially before revealing aromas of red and blue fruits together with some spice and savoury notes. There's good depth on the nicely structured, medium-bodied palate and I can see this only getting better over the next four to six years at least. Drink by 2031.
