2024 Paul Osicka Major’s Creek Vineyard Riesling
Zesty lemon and lime fruits sculptured by crisp laser like acidity.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with glimpses of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of lemon and lime jump out of the glass trailed by some orange rind, wet steel and chalky mineral notes. Zesty lemon and lime fruits drive the palate sculptured by crisp laser like acidity which imparts a tense, focused feel. Delicate orange, chalk and steely mineral elements line the back half. Finishes long, dry and zippy.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 11.7%
Other Reviews….
A ripper drink year on year.
This has all the energy and zip expected but with touches of brine and light cashew nut characters making landfall to enhance more classic lemon-lime, pink grapefruit and cumquat fruitiness. While zesty, a little chalky pucker in texture too. Spot on, quietly complex, a bit of inner concentration to make things hum and a cool, minerally finish. Right on. Drink 2025-2035+
