2024 Pacha Mama Pinot Noir
Light, juicy and playful with a savoury red to dark fruited finish.
Semi translucent ruby red to dark red in colour with black toned edges and a light vibrant red hue. Fragrant violet, dark cherry and strawberry aromas intermingle with some anise, brambly forest floor and spice notes. Light, juicy and playful, ripe cherry and strawberry fruits drive the palate with notions of fresh herbs, subtle anise and spicy cedar extending across the back half. Polished fine grained tannins with a savoury red to dark fruited finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 12.8%
Other Reviews…..
The majority of this blend comes from a vineyard planted in Cottles Bridge in '94. Like last year's version, this is a touch closed, before revealing aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and floral notes as it opens up. The medium-bodied and gently savoury palate has good depth, with balanced, gently grippy and persistent tannins in support. It's good now but will be even better 12–24 months from now. Nicely done. Drink by 2032.
