2024 Muto Sangiovese

A generously fleshed, red fruited Sangiovese that offers good everyday drinking value.

Matured in large format oak of which 10% was new. Dark red core with black shaded edges and a red to brick red tinged hue. Red currant and red cherry interact with tobacco, earth and spicy dried herbs notes. Generous cherry and red currant fruits are detailed across the medium bodied palate with notions of dried herbs, tobacco, subtle earth and spice lying underneath. Nicely fleshed it has fine, slightly chalky tannins, juicy acidity and a savoury finish. Good everyday drinking value.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
