2024 Kalleske Old Vine Grenache

A rich, voluptuously textured Grenache that boasts outstanding power.

Certified organic and biodynamic, this Grenache was sourced from a single vineyard planted in 1935 with maturation taking place in seasoned French and American oak hogsheads. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Intoxicating the olfactory senses are heady scents of black raspberry, black plum and liquorice which intermingle with vanillin oak, subtle scorched earth, dark chocolate and spice notes. Rich, voluptuously textured and full of exuberance, the hefty palate is flush with lavish black raspberry, liquorice and black plum jam fruits. Scorched earth, vanillin oak and spice elements form the underbelly. Possessing velvet smooth tannins it boasts outstanding power and has a long plump finish.
