2024 Holm Oak Pinot Noir
Light & fresh with an energetic feel and a supple red fruited finish.
Semi translucent bright red colour with a light red hue. Aromas of cherry, raspberry and strawberry mix with whiffs of fresh herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar. Light and fresh, the palate features bright red cherry and strawberry fruits over faint inflections of fresh herbs, forest floor and spice. Lively acidity lends an energetic feel. Fine grained, polished tannins with a supple red fruited finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…..
A mix of a number of pinot noir clones (MV6, 115, D4V2, 777, Abel, 667 and 521) off the Holm Oak estate, destemmed, wild ferment, matured for nine months in French oak, 25% new. Characters of dark cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry with hints of dried shiitake, pomegranate, five-spice, tobacco, iced tea, leaf litter, dried wildflowers and earth. Lots of detail, plenty of briny drive and a fan of raspberry and spice on the exit. Drink by 2035.
