2024 Grace Gris de Koshu
A crisp, tasty dry white line with lime, pear, green apple and melon fruits.
Grace Wine is one of Japan’s leading producers of Koshu, a delicate, dry white wine variety native to the Yamanashi region. Low in alcohol and softly aromatic, Koshu offers a clean, mineral profile that makes it an excellent alternative to other crisp whites like Albarino, Chablis, or dry Riesling.
Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges. Subtle aromas of lime, green apple and pear mix with fresh herb infusions and stony minerals. The tasty palate is greeted with lime, pear, green apple and melon fruits which carry a slippery textural feel. Lying underneath are infusions of fresh herbs, delicate tangy orange peel and mineral characters. Crisp acidity with a long mouth watering finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Other Reviews….
Pear, a nutty sake-like thing, yuzu, slight green herb. It has some gloss to it, white fruits in the main, quite flavoursome (in context), light powdery texture, with a softish finish of good length. A lovely thing to drink. Drink 2025-2028.
