2024 Dune Tirari
An intriguing mid weighted blend that’s succulent and vibrant yet savoury.
A blend of Negramaro, Touriga Nacional and Mataro. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red purple hue. Fragrant red plum, liquorice and blueberry scents infused with a mix of dried herbs, scorched earth and pepper sail through the nostrils. Juicy blueberry, liquorice and ripe plum fruits carry an energetic feel across the fresh, mid weighted palate. Notions of dried herbs, scorched earth, infusions of incense and spice lend further interest. Slinky tannins finishing long, succulent and vibrant yet savoury.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 12.8%
Other Reviews…..
40/30/30% negroamaro/mataro/touriga nacional; harvested on the same day and co-fermented; matured in seasoned French oak for six months. Savoury and spicy, with preserved black cherry, dried olive, black plum skin, panforte spicing, chinotto, star anise, umeboshi. Modest of weight, and from varieties that can be fulsome and gruff, this is elegant and food friendly, with a fine line of tannin and a fanning of cherry-scented fruitfulness marking the finish. This is also excellent chilled. Lovely.
