2024 Dr Loosen Bros Dr L Dry Riesling

Light and frisky with zingy acidity and a fruity conclusion.

Dr. Loosen has been in the same family for over 200 years, and this is the estate's classic, regional expression of the Riesling grape. Located in far western Germany, the Mosel valley’s steep, south facing slopes create the perfect climate for Riesling, giving the vines ideal exposure to the sun. The cool climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining bright acidity. This crisp, refreshing Riesling represents the jumping-in point from Dr. Loosen, capturing the elegant and racy characteristics of steep, slate-soil Mosel vineyards.
Brilliant water like core with a greenish tinge around the edges. Lime, red apple and gentle honeysuckle aromas flow from the glass followed by hints of orange blossom and slatey mineral notes. Delicious pear, lime and red apple fruits carry a light, frisky feel across the palate. Zingy acidity with honeysuckle, infusions of orange blossom and flinty mineral elements laid out across the back half. Finishes dry with an energised zip to the fruity conclusion.
