2024 Bremley Gamay
Light, elegant and energetic with juicy red fruit and a dry, savoury conclusion.
Fruit was 100% destemmed and inoculated with a selected yeast strain. Fermentation took place over 20 days on skins, with one pump-over per day. Ferment was drained and pressed, then matured in a combination of 50% oak and 50% stainless steel tanks, with no new oak used.
Deep dark red purple core with black toned edges and a vibrant purple red hue. Perfumed aromatics of raspberry, violet, strawberry and anise blossom out of the glass with some earthy incense and wild herb notes also evident. Juicy wild strawberry and raspberry fruits meld into a sour to red cherry, red liquorice, earthy incense, wild herb and spice back drop. Dusty tannins and lively acidity with a dry, energetic red fruited conclusion.
