2024 Bindi Dixon Pinot Noir
Bindi is one of Australia’s most respected small estates, producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of purity and finesse. The vines grow in a mix of ancient Ordovician soils and volcanic slopes in the Macedon Ranges, farmed with sustainable, low-intervention methods and intensive handwork. In the winery, natural fermentations, long lees ageing, and gentle handling capture the seasonal expression of this remarkable landscape.
Sourced from the 1988 Pinot Noir plantings and the 2001 Kaye vineyard, the Dixon is bottled earlier than Bindi’s other Pinots (10 months in oak, 30% new). Made from destemmed fruit with wild yeast fermentation, the 2024 shows immediate fragrance, layered with red and black fruits, subtle spice, and hints of earth. Expect a fresh, supple palate carried by fine, stylish tannins, with the ability to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
