The brightness, vitality and lightness of being set this apart stylistically from the 8 Acres. However, it is similar in the extraordinary depth of flavour packed into the medium-weight frame, reflective of the old vines from which the wine is made. The vineyard was planted in 1879, making it the oldest on Tyrrell's Ashmans property. Perfumed and gently succulent, with gorgeous rosewater and raspberry sorbet tones, nuanced, savoury oak and a complex matrix of fine tannins. It has an elegant flow and blooms beautifully with air. Drink by 2033.
