2023 Turkey Flat Vineyards Rose
Turkey Flat have been refining the style of their Rose over nearly 30 years, the 2023 version is as good as ever. Made entirely from Grenache grapes. Translucent salmon pink colour. Delightful raspberry, strawberry and musk aromas emerge out of the glass trailed by hints of pomegranate, Turkish delight and spice. Delicious raspberry, strawberry and musk flavours make a beautifully supple entrance onto the palate with some pomegranate and subtle wet stone elements lying underneath. Refreshing acidity finishing dry, long and silky. Trophy winner at both the Barossa Wine Show and Royal Melbourne Wine Show.
Drink over the next year.
Alc. 12%
Other Reviews….
James Adams is the new winemaker at Turkey Flat, this being the first vintage under his regime.
Red fruit and tangerine, a little perfume and spice – maybe a subtle sort of a curry leaf or lemongrass thing happening. Soft but with nice grip and crunch to texture, a fine chalkiness, subdued but kind of juicy red fruit with a fresh finish of good length, a dash of savoury complexity as it goes. Lovely. Drink 2023-2026.

Gary Walsh – The Wine Front
There are a number of wines I return to every year. They've never let me down, and we remain the best of friends. Turkey Flat rosé makes that list. Salmon pink with grenache at its core, it is just wonderful drinking; redcurrants and raspberry and wildflower top notes. Just a slink of texture too, filling out the palate before bright acidity tightens, bringing all back into line for a nervy, refreshing exit. Drink by 2028.
