2023 Tiefenbrunner Merus Chardonnay

Fleshy yellow fruits with an underlying minerally gun flint like character.

Considered to be a benchmark producer in the region, Tiefenbrunner was founded in 1848. Brilliant yellow straw colour with green highlighted edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and yellow peach aromas intermingle with biscuit, faint bees wax and gun flint notes. Fleshy peach and ripe nectarine fruits are layered across the mid weighted palate with some pear, delicate bees wax, subtle spicy biscuit and a minerally gun flint like character the undercard. Nicely rounded mid palate feel with a line of fresh acidity underpinning the generously fruited finish.
