2023 Spinifex Syrah

A savoury mid weighted Barossa Syrah with an elegant medium to long finish.

Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Fragrant dark plum and liquorice scents sit alongside clove, violet, subtle scorched earth and peppered meat notes. Medium bodied, dark plum and liquorice fruits show good up front richness then evolve into a more savoury back drop of smoked meats, earth, clove and pepper. Possessing ample freshness it has fine yet slightly chalky tannins and an elegant medium to long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

This is an impeccable wine, impeccably made. It’s well flavoured, spicy, gently herbal, flushed with red and black berried fruit and beautifully structured, and fine, through the finish. In fact it’s gently sinewy, which is a good thing for a wine to be. Nut, gravel and floral characters hover about edges. Everything is fine order here. Drink 2026-2032+
