2023 Soumah U. Ngumby Vineyard Chardonnay

Refined and elegant with a delicately creamed mid length conclusion.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Attractive white peach, pear and dried honey aromas intermix with subtle citrusy nougat, biscuit and gun flint notes. Refined in it’s feel the elegant mid weighted palate features white peach, pear and subtle dried honey flavours over biscuity nougat and delicate spicy cashew characters. Fresh acidity with a delicately creamed mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

From a single 25-year-old vineyard planted in Yarra Glen. Fermented and matured in 20% new French oak. A light, bright green gold. A restrained and elegant nose featuring gentle white peach and apricot aromas together with a little acacia honey and some struck match. Gently waxy, saline and balanced on the palate with a fine vein of acidity coursing through the wine. This should cellar well for at least the next five to seven years. Drink by 2029.
