2023 Silkman Reserve Semillon
Tense and racy with sculptured acidity and a long steely mineral infused finish.
Brilliant water like core with a distinctive green tint to the surrounds. Lime, lemon butter and oily toast like notes fill the nostrils followed by hints of bees wax and wet steel. Tense and racy the palate is sculptured by a precise line of crisp acidity. Lime, lemon and green apple fruits meld into an oily toast and steely mineral back drop. The long, vivid finish bristling with a steely mineral element.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Other Reviews….
It is an incredibly beautiful wine with great purity, delicacy and flow. The wine looks fabulous from the first pour, with refined, delicate blossom aromas. The palate has gorgeous, weighty, pristine citrus fruit and a gentle underlying slateyness, which gives compelling drive to the finish. Regarding vineyard composition, it is 70/30% Blackberry/Murphy. Hands-off winemaking has allowed the fruit to shine bright. It is stunning now, though it will also age magnificently. Drink by 2033.
