2023 RieslingFreak No. 2 Polish Hill River Riesling

Since it’s establishment in 2009, winemaker John Hughes has in a very short period of time established RieslingFreak as one of the country's preeminent producers of the variety. Wine critic Mike Bennie describing it as ‘the definitive Riesling project in Australia.’
Brilliant water like colour with a very faint greenish tinge to the edges. Intense lime and citrus aromas leap out of the glass trailed by notes of orange rind, talc, wet steel and mineral. Possessing fantastic power and length, concentrated lime and citrus fruits drive the mouth watering palate with talc, orange rind and steely mineral characters lying underneath. Crunchy acidity provides the structural spine. Finishes dry and tense with a long scrumptious aftertaste.
