2023 Pindarie The Stonecutter Sangiovese
Juicy red fruits, slightly chalky tannins and fresh acidity with a savoury mid length conclusion.
Dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Leading the way on the nose are ripe red currant scents followed by some red cherry, dried herb and spicy tobacco notes. Juicy red currant and red cherry fruits are married to dried herb, earth and delicate spicy tobacco elements. Slightly chalky tannins and fresh acidity with a savoury mid length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews……
There's a lot to like here. Bright sour cherry and plum fruits, a touch of lemon zest in there too, with hints of fine spice, wildflowers, redcurrant jelly, red licorice and earth. A sapid and appley pure acid line that whips that juicy fruit into shape and a powdery cloud of tannin offering gentle savoury support. It's a pretty drinkable proposition and super value. Drink by 2029.
