2023 Pencarrow Pinot Noir

A rich, fleshy textured Martinborough Pinot Noir.

The ever reliable second label of Palliser Estate. Sourced from three different vineyards the wine was matured for 10 months in oak barrels. Semi translucent red to dark red core with black toned edges and a light brick red tinged hue. Expressive spicy dark cherry, strawberry and dried herb scents are trailed by some brambly cedar and forest floor notes. Rich dark cherry and strawberry fruits carry ample flesh as they make a supple entrance onto the palate. Subtle anise, spicy rhubarb, dried herb and bramble elements slip across the back half. Velvet smooth tannins with ample power to the finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
