2023 Paringa Estate Peninsula Chardonnay

Owner Lindsay McCall began planting Paringa Estate in 1985 in the cool climate sub-region of Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula. The vineyard is planted in rich red, volcanic soil on 10 acres of north-facing slopes at an elevation of 140 meters. Handpicked fruit is whole bunch pressed to barrel for fermentation and maturation of 9 months, with regular stirring to build palate weight and complexity.
Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tint to the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of white peach, dried honey and biscuit are married to hints of cashew, nougat and spice. Gently creamed in its feel and carrying medium body weight the palate features nectarine, white peach and subtle dried honey flavours over a background of cashew and biscuity nougat characteristics. Finishes with a dash of citrusy freshness on the refined aftertaste.
