2023 Ox Hardy Grenache

A juicy, energetic red fruited Grenache.

Matured for 6 months in old French oak with 10% whole bunch fermentation. Semi translucent red to dark red colour with black toned edges and a vibrant red hue. Red to dark raspberry, cherry and red liquorice scents intermix with vanillin spice and peppered earth notes. Bouncing across the light to medium bodied palate with plenty of energy are juicy red raspberry, red liquorice and cherry fruits. Crushed rock and delicate infusions of pepper sit in the background. Polished tannins with a fresh, white pepper laced, red fruited finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Cranberry jelly, redcurrant, ripe raspberry, kirsch, Bing cherry, rosy florals, freshly ground cinnamon and white pepper. This is silky and supple, refreshed with a fine seam of acidity and gentle but efficient tannins. It’s a charming thing, with immediate pure appeal underpinned by quality fruit and gentle handling.
