2023 Muto Rose

Muto Wine is operated by the Smit family, based in Tallarook, Victoria. They utilise climate-appropriate, alternative varieties to produce wines that are characterised by their integrity, thoughtful production, and pure drinkability.
100% Shiraz grown on the slopes of the Mt Camel range, near Colbinabbin in Heathcote. Hand picked fruit is stomped and pressed whole bunch to a 1000L permeable tank for wild fermentation where it matures on full-lees for 8 months.
Translucent blood orange colour. Elevated blood orange, pomegranate and water melon scents mix with some spice notes. Tangy blood orange, pomegranate and wild strawberry fruits greet the palate with crunchy acidity lying underneath. Nicely rounded with a fruit tingle like feel. Finishes dry and tangy.
