2023 Muto Mencia

Muto Wine is operated by the Smit family, based in Tallarook, Victoria. They utilise climate-appropriate, alternative varieties to produce wines that are characterised by their integrity, thoughtful production, and pure drinkability.
Destemmed fruit is transferred to open fermenters, with some foot trodding to loosen up some juice for wild fermentation. After 16 days of gentle hand-plunging, the must was basket pressed to 300L seasoned hogshead barrels for 7 months of maturation.
