Rich and chewy with a ripe, slightly rustic finish.

Deep dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas mix with earthy incense and spicy dried herb notes. Rich black cherry and liquorice fruits are featured across the mid weighted palate which is supported by slightly chewy tannins. Some scorched earth, infusions of incense and spice are also evident. Ripe, slightly rustic finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

This wine is slightly un-done and that needn't be a negative attribute. It's rusticity loosely knits together the herbal and black cherry characters. It sits on the slightly richer end of the spectrum in both body and profile with some prune and chocolate elements having their time in the sun. Enjoyable acidity sees this being the perfect accompaniment for pasta night. Value plus. Drink by 2027.
