2023 Monte Tondo Mito Soave

The Monte Tondo vineyard can be found nestling in the gentle hills of Soave just a few kilometres from Verona on a slope overlooking the valley. Today it is 4th generation brother and sister team, Luca and Marta Magnabosco, who carry on their family’s passion for the land and its wines.
Twenty-five hectares of vineyards are situated on the best plots that the Soave zone can offer on predominately volcanic soils: Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino and Monte Tondo. The wines produced, from 100% Garganaga, are intensely perfumed with an unmistakable Soave character somewhere between florals and fruitiness.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Jumping out of the glass are pear, red apple and delicate lime scents followed by traces of musk and wet stone. Possessing terrific intensity and a gorgeous supple feel, fleshy pear, lime and red apple fruits explode across the palate with a wet stone back drop. Lively acidity lends freshness to the long moreish finish that has a river stone like feel. Never fails to deliver the goods.
