2023 Maude Pinot Gris

Forty percent of this wine was fermented in seasoned oak barrels to provide additional texture and body. Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced pear and red apple aromas emanate from the glass followed by hints of musk, quince and ginger spice. Concentrated and mouth filling the palate is engulfed with delicious ripe pear, red apple, musk and fresh quince flavours which are underscored by refreshing, energised acidity. Finishes dry with a dash of spice on the long, texturally full yet highly invigorating aftertaste.
