2023 Masso Antico Primitivo
Rich and plump with ripe, slightly chewy tannins and a lush, generously endowed finish.
Matured in French oak barrels for approximately 6 months, this Primitivo is crafted from bush vines and made in ancient tradition of Apulian winemaking, known as Alberello Pugliese which concentrates the flavours in the grapes. Yet again this wine has been rated a massive 99 points by Italian wine critic Luca Maroni.
Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Black plum, liquorice and ripe morello cherry scents are complimented by some dried herb, scorched earth and cinnamon notes. Rich juicy black plum, liquorice and morello cherry fruits flood the palate with notions of dried herbs, earth and cinnamon spice the undercard. Plump textural feel with ripe, slightly chewy tannins and a lush, generously endowed finish.
