2023 Leeuwin Estate Siblings Sauvignon Blanc

Brilliant water like colour with a very faint tinge of green around the outskirts. Nosing reveals lifted scents of herbaceous gooseberries and passionfruit followed by some grassy asparagus notes, hints of capsicum and minerals. Zingy passionfruit, green apple and gooseberry flavours race across the palate with excellent intensity. Some herbaceous grassy and flinty mineral characters the undertow. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a long zesty aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Sure, this has its fair share of tropical fruit flavours – think passionfruit and feijoa – but it’s also full of refreshing lemon and lime, fresh basil and a tantalising aroma of wet stones. The palate is juicy, lively with talc-like acidity and, best of all, not at all cloying, so another glass, please. Drink by 2028.
