2023 Josef Chromy Pinot Noir
Light and savoury with a fresh, supple feel.
Dark red core with black toned edges with a red to dark red hue. Perfumed like aromas of dark cherry, violet and anise are complimented by strawberry, dried herb, forest floor, bramble and spice notes. Light and savoury, the palate is decorated with red to dark cherry, strawberry and subtle anise flavours which meld into a spicy cedar, forest floor and delicate dried herb back drop. Fresh and supple it has polished, fine grained tannins and an eloquently long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews…..
From two blocks in Relbia (Tamar Valley) and 20% split between Coal River Valley and East Coast, 20% whole bunch. Bright ruby. A lighter style with crunchy, bright acidity. Wild strawberry, blueberry, raspberry pip and red cherry with hints of exotic spice, amaro, crushed rock, dried meats and leaf litter. A really attractive juicy yet savoury vibe here makes for great drinking. Drink by 2036.
