2023 Jericho Selected Vineyards Grenache
A juicy, energetic, red fruited Grenache laced with spice and pepper.
Matured in older French oak barrels. Red to dark red core with black toned edges and a red hue. Subdued nose with spicy dark raspberry, earthy graphite, faint red liquorice and peppered dried herb scents gradually evolving out of the glass. Juicy red raspberry and red liquorice fruits carry plenty of spice and pepper over an earthy graphite and dried herb underbelly. Mildly muscular tannin structure with lively acidity and an energetic red fruited finish that’s laced with spice and pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews....
From the Jericho-owned Bracken vineyard in Blewitt Springs; matured in old French oak. Pale in the glass and super pretty and lifted, blooming with red and blue florals, musk and rosewater, across cranberry, redcurrant, pomegranate and orange oil – a notably cool year and a modern sensibility writ large. It’s light of weight, could likely be chilled a fraction, but it’s got tannin, and will match a broad range of dishes. Delicious.
