Gut Oggau is a leading natural wine producer based in Burgenland, Austria, celebrated for its expressive, biodynamically farmed wines. Established in 2007, husband and wife Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselböck took over one of the oldest estates in the region, with the manor’s oldest walls dating back to the 17th century. Certified biodynamic by Demeter, the estate focuses on indigenous grape varieties and minimal intervention, crafting wines without added SO₂ to let the vineyard speak clearly. Each wine is represented by a fictional family member on the label, reflecting the wine’s unique personality and story. The result is a compelling range that combines tradition, sustainability, and vibrant, soulful drinking.
Winifred is a juicy, fragrant rosé made from biodynamically farmed Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. Bright and vivacious, expect notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and blood orange, with a hint of spice and a savoury edge. Light in body but full of personality and charm.
