Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges. Aromas of lime infused with fresh herbs mix with Granny Smith apple, lemon, wet steel and slatey mineral notes. Fresh, crunchy and taut, the palate features a snappy flavour profile of limes, Granny Smith apple and lemon infused with fresh herbs and steely mineral characteristics. Finishes dry with very crisp acidity and a zippy mineral laced aftertaste.?
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Another very fine Semillon from Matt Burton, which is more in the current style of approachable and great drinking from day one, rather than the older examples which needed several years to blossom. A very pale lemon hue here, with fresh, bright notes on the nose. Slightly spicy with citrus touches and florals, this is an aromatic style, approachable and generous, layered and with an attractive, lingering finish driven by good acidity. A shorter-term proposition than some but will still sail through five years. Drink 2023-2028.
