2023 Future Perfect Upper Derwent Valley Chardonnay

Fresh and energetic with an elegant mid length finish.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and pear aromas evolve out of the glass followed by some biscuity oak, faint dried honey and spice notes. Vibrant nectarine and citrus fruits meld into a lime and stony mineral back drop. Fresh, energetic feel with an elegant mid length finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

A salty kind of umami expression of Chardonnay offering white fruit, green olive, mint, pistachio and lemon rind. It’s nutty, a little glossy and buttery but has a tight core of grapefruit acidity, chalky texture, and a finish of excellent length and juicy citrus bite. There’s some electricity to this wine, if you take my meaning. It’s very good. Drink 2025-2030+
