2023 Franz Haas Pinot Grigio

Intensely flavoured and mouth filling with a long shapely finish.

Fermented off skins in 70% stainless steel with the balance in old barriques and aged on lees for a few months to build texture.
Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Pear, red apple skin and rosewater like aromas sail through the nostrils followed by some quince notes. Rich, juicy ripe pear, red apple and quince fruits are delivered with intensity and a beautifully rounded feel across the mouth filling palate. Subtle musk and wet stone elements are also evident. Brisk acidity with a long shapely finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
