2023 Elm Bomba Rosso
Generous morello and dark cherry fruits with slightly chewy tannins and a rustic feel to the ripe, savoury finish.
Elm is the project of Mario Marson’s daughter Madeleine. The Rosso is a blend of Shiraz, Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. Deep dark red core with black toned edges and a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of morello and dark cherry, earthy dried herb, liquorice and new leather notes. Generous morello and dark cherry fruits combine with some liquorice to provide ample flesh across the mid weighted palate. Earth, dried herb and spicy leather elements lie underneath. Slightly chewy tannins with a rustic feel to the ripe, savoury finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews…..
High-toned, with bright red-fruited notes of sour cherries, blackcurrants, crushed stones, pomegranate, raspberries and rose hips. The palate is bright and crunchy, with a fine line of acidity, an earthy undertone and a slight phenolic edge. A blend of mainly nebbiolo with touches of shiraz and sangiovese. A perfect pizza wine. Nebbiolo with shiraz and sangiovese. Drink now. Screw cap.
