2023 Domaine William Fevre Chablis
Pear, lime and green apple fruits with a river stone like feel and an energetic, mineral laden finish.
Founded by William Fevre in 1957 the domaine has grown to now become one of the biggest land owners in Chablis with 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards, of which 15.9 hectares are classified as Premiers Crus and 15.2 as Grand Crus.
This is consistently one of the best value Chablis on the market and a benchmark of a vintages quality.
Brilliant pale straw colour with glimpses of green around the edges and a watery hue. Delightful pear and lime scents greet the nostrils followed by hints of green apple, fresh herbs and wet stone. Carrying a river stone like textural feel across the palate are delicious pear, lime and green apple fruits. Excellent intensity with notions of wet stone, infusions of fresh herbs and minerals the undercard. Crisp acidity lending energy to the long, nicely shaped, mineral laden finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
