2023 Domaine Mee Godard Moulin-a-Vent au Michelon

Mee Godard is one of the shining lights of Beaujolais, crafting uncompromising and sumptuous wines from her vineyards located primarily in Morgon, along with a tiny parcel in Moulin-a-Vent. Across this small estate most of the vines are very old, averaging 60 years plus, and the vines are tended organically with a clear goal of using biodynamic practices in the near future. Mee aims to produce wines with the capacity to age extremely well, and as such can benefit from good aeration, or preferably a few years in the cellar.

This great Moulin-a-Vent is as deep as it is elegant, with terrific rooty originality. It has impressive concentration, the expertly crafted tannins building beautifully in the long, crisp and complete finish. Drink or hold.
