2023 David Duband Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbe Premier Cru
David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

A cool, airy and elegant nose present wafting aromas of the essence of red cherry nuanced by a broad range of pretty floral wisps. The succulent, seductive and detailed medium-bodied flavors possess a more refined mouthfeel while offering notably better complexity on the balanced and youthfully austere finale. This is lovely, understated and worth considering. Drink through 2031+.

Pretty ruby purple, with a lifted nose, I can hardly see the whole bunches though they are part of it. Medium depth here, flowing nicely if softly across the palate. Drink from 2029-2035.
