2023 Dandelion Vineyards Menagerie of the Barossa GSM
Rich, juicy textured and moreish.
Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Dark raspberry, plum and liquorice aromas sail through the nostrils with subtle dried herb, scorched earth and vanillin spice notes also chiming in. Rich and juicy textured, the moreish palate is awash with dark raspberry and liquorice fruits. Spicy dark plum, vanillin spice and delicate scorched earth elements sit in the background. Velvet smooth tannins with a long succulent finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews….
A bright, perfumed grenache, shiraz and mataro blend from a vineyard on Seppeltsfield Road in the Barossa Valley. There's a raspberry edge to the fruit this year. Under that you'll find satsuma plum, blueberry and boysenberry with layers of spice and hints of biltong, dried citrus rind, citrus blossom, gingerbread, char siu and warm earth. Medium bodied with a savoury lean to the pure, ripe fruits, plenty of spice, fine, sandy tannins and abundant energy and zip. Drink by 2042.
